Mr. Hessek is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in the forensic evaluation and analysis of structures, structural designs, and in the renovation and rehabilitation of structures. He has investigated numerous distressed structures and has designed / provided repair recommendations for those structures. Mr. Hessek has been qualified as an expert witness and has served as an umpire.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Managed the investigation and structural repair of many single- and multi-family residential projects, the majority of which involved distress to the structures caused by swelling or consolidated soils. In most instances, site observations were provided during the repair process for the structures. Provided structural forensic services on commercial and government projects.

Investigated and reported on property claims involving vehicle impact, tornado, flood, fire, snow, wind, water and hail.

Structural design of residential, commercial and governmental projects, for new construction as well as renovation, rehabilitation and remodel.

Managed the national office that handled all claims throughout the country for a national home warranty company. Was responsible for the investigation and determination of several thousand structural claims.

Mr. Hessek’s 40 years of experience include a variety of structural and civil engineering projects. He has in-depth knowledge of field investigation of structures, building code analysis, construction document review, structural movement evaluation, soil assessment, construction defect and building envelope evaluation, design of new structures and design of structural repairs, and providing timely, concise, reports.
