Practice Areas Engineers Request an Investigation

Vehicle Accident Reconstruction

From commercial vehicles to bicycles WERC can handle your accident reconstruction needs from start to finish. Our team of experienced engineers employ proven analytical techniques to investigate and evaluate what really happened during an accident.

We present our findings according to your needs — whether that means brief verbal reports or detailed written accounts that include scale drawings and state-of-the-art video animations.

Timely Response

Often, an accident reconstruction will require a quick response time in order for accident scene data to be properly documented, measured, and preserved. WERC’s rapid response team can coordinate with your office when timely documentation of critical evidence is of the utmost importance. WERC can also provide your office training on evidence collection and preservation. Contact Michelle at 303-757-4000 to schedule training.

Crash Data Retrieval System (CDR)

WERC retrieves automotive “black box” crash recorded data using the most up to date version of Vetronix Corporation’s Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) system. The CDR allows our automotive experts to access and download data stored in airbag control modules of various newer General Motors, Ford, Saab, and Isuzu vehicles.

The information available from these automotive “black box” data recorders often includes:

  • Vehicle Speed
  • Engine Speed
  • Brake Switch Position
  • Throttle Position
  • Seatbelt Usage
  • Seat in Forward Position
  • Vehicle Accelerations
  • Vehicle Velocity Change
