Steel, Masonry, and Concrete Structures

Structure failures can be catastrophic; however, in most cases the failures are performance problems that may be related to degradation, construction defect, or other causes that degrade the use and safety of a structure. Sudden collapse failures may be the result of deficient design or construction, wind pressure, snow load, vehicle impact, or deterioration.

Investigation of a failure should be undertaken as soon as practical after the incident in order to view the evidence in a condition as similar to the failed condition as feasible and to preserve the evidence. Western Engineering is experienced in various methods of testing and site documentation.
