Losses related to water damage account for the largest dollar amount of insurance claims in the United States annually. WERC is the recognized leader in the evaluation of washing machine hose failures, having evaluated in excess of 6,000 hoses.

Our forensic engineers evaluate plumbing cases involving freeze damage, material fractures and degradation, scald injuries, component failure, and associated water damage issues.

WERC evaluates failures related to plumbing systems and components including:

• Supply risers and hoses
• Regulators, pressure reducing, and backflow prevention devices
• Pipe, tubing, and specialty systems (CSST and PEX)
• Conformance with applicable codes and standards
• Fire suppression systems and related components
