Western Engineering & Research Corporation (WERC) provides clients with multi-disciplinary forensic engineering investigation, evaluation, and litigation support services. WERC’s President, H. James (Jim) Royston, has more than twenty-five years of experience in the industry, and the firm’s combined technical experience exceeds one hundred years.

Notwithstanding the hard work, research and continuing education involved with forensic engineering, WERC’s engineers genuinely enjoy their work.

WERC’s engineers have memberships in more than twenty professional, trade, and technical organizations, are registered in numerous states, and hold additional certifications in specialized areas. They are approved by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), which expedites licensing in additional states as needed. Our engineers are also trained to work on hazardous sites, giving us the authority to access and control explosion, fire, and accident sites.

WERC’s mission is to help find the answer to what really happened. We do this through concise, courteous, timely, technically accurate, courtroom defensible evaluations. We do it by using unbiased, highly qualified, and experienced consultants. Clients rely on our findings to determine the validity of pursuing claims/cases.
