Kevin Rens, PhD, PE is a civil engineer specializing in structural engineering.  He has performed numerous structural evaluations related to residential and commercial building failures and performance problems.  He has extensive experience on concrete testing and condition assessment of structures. 

Dr. Rens conducts analyses of structural systems ranging from simple structures to complex systems.  He evaluates commercial and residential building collapses and structural failures.  He also analyzes, tests and inspects concrete structures and other structural systems.

Dr. Rens has inspected over 80 locks and dams on navigable waterways and numerous bridges.  He has tested a variety of materials including wood, various metals and concrete.  Dr. Rens has conducted inspections and analyses related to concrete life cycles.
